Notification No. Effect of the notification
[Notification No. 15/2024 Customs(T) dated 12th March 2024] For HSN 9022 30 00 [X-Ray Tubes] and 9022 90 90 [“Others” Apparatus based on the use of alpha, beta, gamma or other ionising radiation, whether or not for medical, surgical, dental or veterinary uses, including radiography or radiotherapy apparatus, rate of custom duty will be 15% w.e.f 01st April 2024.
[Notification No. 16/2024 Customs(T) dated 12th March 2024] Amendment was made to Notification 50/2017 dated 30th June 2017 w.r.t X-Ray Tubes, Parts of X-Ray falling under HSN 9022 14 10;

9022 90 90; 9022 29 00 at Entry No. 563A, new entries 563B, 563C, and 563D is inserted and description of goods at Entry No. 564 is changed.

[Notification No. 17/2024 Customs(T) dated 14th March 2024] Wrist Wearable Devices- will also include smart rings, shoulder bands, neck bands or ankle bands, the Sr. No. 20 for concessional BCD on Electronics Items under Notification 57/2017 dated 30th June 2017.
[Notification No. 18/2024 Customs(T) dated 14th March 2024] New rates specified for goods falling under Table No. 1 w.r.t. India-Mauritius Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA) w.e.f 01st April 2024.
[Notification No. 19/2024 Customs(T) dated 15th March 2024] Pursuant to Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) scheme for “Scheme to promote manufacturing of electric passenger cars in India” exemption on BCD & IGST in relation to Electronically Operated Vehicles falling under Chapter 8703 at Entry No. 526A is provided with conditions therein.
[Notification No. 20/2024 Customs(T) dated 15th March 2024] Pursuant to Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) scheme for “Scheme to promote manufacturing of electric passenger cars in India” exemption on SWS ( Social Welfare Surcharge) on the goods falling under Entry No. 526A of Notification 50/2017 dated 30th June 2017.
[Notification No. 21/2024 Customs(T) dated 15th March 2024] New rates specified for goods falling under Table No. 1 w.r.t. third tranche of India-UAE CEPA is notified w.e.f 01st April 2024.
[Notification No. 21/2024 Customs(NT) dated 12th March 2024] Notifying “Bihta of Bihar” as the new Inland Container Depot (ICD) for “Unloading   of   imported   goods and loading of export goods”

[Notification No. 23/2024 Customs(NT) dated 15th March 2024] Section 151B shall apply to Agreement between Agreement between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on co-operation and mutual assistance in Customs matters.
[Circular No. 03/2024-Customs dated 08th March 2024] It has been decided that in addition to the existing infrastructural facilities as provided by the Custodian CFS/AFS/ICD under Regulation 5 of the HCCAR 2009, additional gender specific infrastructural facilities may also be encouraged for inclusiveness of women participation.
[Instruction No. 05/2024-Customs dated 15th March 2024] Instructions on specified breeds of dogs are not permitted to be imported since they are ferocious and dangerous to human life.

Breeds (including Mixed and Cross Breeds) for e.g., Pitbull  Terrier, Tosa  Inu, American Staffordshire Terrier,  Central   Asian   Shepherd   Dog   (ovcharka), and  every  dog  of  the  type commonly known as   a Ban Dog (or Bandog) etc.

[Instruction No. 06/2024-Customs dated 23rd March 2024] Standard Operating Procedure for reporting of reporting   of   Major   Seizures   (more   than   rupees   one   crore)   during   the   elections   and implementation    of    Electronic    Seizure    Management    System    (ESMS)    for    reporting interception/seizures made by various enforcement agencies on real time basis.
