Are you a SME firm eyeing Export Growth? Don’t Miss These New Govt Boosters
India’s small and mid-sized exporters have long grappled with the dual challenge of navigating compliance and staying alert to government incentives. In a welcome move, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has rolled out a set of digital-first reforms and support mechanisms that promise to simplify and strengthen the export journey—especially for SMEs.
From July 2025, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has introduced a host of tech-enabled solutions aimed at making export procedures more transparent, efficient, and accessible to small businesses. These changes go beyond announcements—they are real, operational, and can materially reduce costs and friction for companies that engage with them.
Some highlights that can benefit export-ambitious SMEs
- Online DGFT Portal Integration: Apply seamlessly for Advance Authorisation, EPCG and Status Holder certifications. The platform is now integrated with GST, MCA and ICEGATE for real-time data exchange.
- e-CoO 2.0: A QR-coded, Aadhaar-authenticated Certificate of Origin that cuts out manual steps—helping you ship faster and with full compliance.
- Trade Connect ePlatform: A comprehensive one-stop knowledge hub offering tariff explorers, country guides, FTA benefits, and even “Ask an Expert” support.
- Jan-Sunwai Grievance Portal: Need redressal? You can now speak to officials directly over video to resolve trade-related roadblocks quickly.
- Lower Fees for MSMEs: Application charges for key export promotion schemes have been reduced for MSMEs—making vital incentives more accessible.
- Niryat Bandhu Scheme: Mentorship and handholding for new and small exporters, so you’re not alone while entering global markets.
Despite these welcome reforms, many small firms continue to miss out—not due to lack of intent, but because of information gaps, capacity issues, or the absence of someone who can view the bigger picture.
That’s where strategic partners come in.
At Bizsolindia, we work with founders and leadership teams of growing SMEs—not just to decode policy, but to embed it into business strategy. Our virtual and fractional CFO services, paired with deep knowledge of Foreign Trade Policy, can help you make sense of what’s available and how best to access it.
We’ve seen how export-led firms often get caught up in procedural knots, unaware of the redressal tools at their disposal or the optimised routes to market expansion. With the government now enabling easier compliance and faster support, this is a moment of opportunity.
Let’s make sure your business doesn’t leave value on the table.
Thank You !
