DGFT
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), vide Trade Notice has announced the operationalisation of an Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG) for Supply Chain Resilience under the Department of Commerce.
The IMG has been constituted following a high-level meeting held on March 02, 2026 to assess the impact of ongoing geopolitical developments on India’s exports, particularly disruptions in global supply chains. The Group will monitor international developments affecting supply chains, evaluate sector-wise export and critical import vulnerabilities, coordinate with various Ministries and Departments and engage with stakeholders including Export Promotion Councils to recommend suitable mitigation measures.
Further, DGFT has established an internal coordination mechanism to facilitate real-time monitoring of supply chain issues and ensure inter-agency coordination.
Trade and industry stakeholders have been invited to report specific concerns relating to supply chain disruptions to adg1-dgft@gov.in for examination and coordinated action.
