Customs:
A temporary exemption on the import of cotton has been issued, effective from 19th August 2025 to 30th September 2025. All forms of cotton under heading 5201 have been exempted from customs duty and Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (AIDC). This short-term relief supports the textile sector and meets supply needs, with the exemption expiring at the end of September 2025.
