Customs:
The Government of India has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of Pretilachlor in any form and its intermediate PEDA (2,6-diethyl-n-(2-propoxy ethyl) aniline) originating in or exported from China PR. This action follows the final findings of the DGTR, which concluded that these goods were being dumped in India at prices below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry.
The anti-dumping duty covers a wide range of tariff items (e.g., 2921, 2922, 3808 series) and applies to specific producers from China PR, with duty rates ranging between USD 1,246.9/MT and USD 2,017.9/MT. Imports from any other country but exported from China PR are also covered under the same maximum duty rate.
This duty will remain in effect for five years from the date of publication of the notification and is payable in Indian currency, using the exchange rate applicable on the date of the bill of entry, as notified under the Customs Act, 1962.
