DGFT: Inputs imported by Advance Authorisation holders, EOUs and SEZ are exempted from mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs). Accordingly, list of Ministries / Departments [ i.e. Ministry of Steel, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Ministry of Textiles] are notified in Appendix 2Y of FTP, 2023 (14.05.2024)

DGFT:

Inputs imported by Advance Authorisation holders, EOUs and SEZ are exempted from mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs). Accordingly, list of Ministries / Departments [ i.e. Ministry of Steel, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Ministry of Textiles] are notified in Appendix 2Y of FTP, 2023 vide Notification No. 71/2023 dated 11.03.2024. It is clarified that:

1. Advance authorizations(AA) issued before 11.03.2024 will be governed by the provisions as existed at the time of issuance of those AA.
2. Facility for amendment to incorporate QCO exemption on such AA already issued before 11.03.2024, is not available.
3. The facility of clubbing of Advance Authorizations issued under notification 71/2023 with Advance Authorizations issued before the date of the aforesaid notification shall not be available.
