GSTIN has issued advisory for Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification for GST Registration starting April 1, 2025, a new biometric-based Aadhaar authentication and document verification process has been implemented for GST registration applicants in Assam. Based on risk analysis, applicants may be required to either:

  1. Complete OTP-based Aadhaar authentication, or
  2. Book an appointment and visit a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK) for biometric authentication and document verification.

 

Applicants receiving the appointment link must visit the GSK with required documents, including Aadhaar, PAN, and originals of uploaded documents. Appointment booking is now active, and ARNs will be generated only after successful verification
