SEBI has introduced a standardized format for the System and Network Audit Report for Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs), including Stock Exchanges, Clearing Corporations, and Depositories. This aims to improve data quality, ensure uniform reporting, enhance compliance monitoring, and streamline regulatory oversight. The new format will help in better traceability of audit observations by assigning unique IDs. It applies to audits for FY 2024-25 or the second half of FY 2024-25, as per the MII’s audit schedule. MIIs must update their systems and amend relevant regulations for implementation. Issued under SEBI’s regulatory powers, this circular is aimed at protecting investors and ensuring market integrity.
