The Ministry of Finance released a new notification, S.O.1002(E) dated March 01, 2024, which updates the list of goods under clause (bc) of Section 2 of the SCRA, 1956. This new notification replaces the previous one, S.O. 3068(E) dated September 27, 2016, on the same topic.
The new list, issued on March 01, 2024, includes an additional thirteen goods and alloys for five metals. This means that the number of goods on which derivatives (financial instruments based on the value of these goods) can be launched has increased from ninety-one (91) to one hundred and four (104).
