Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT)  has issued the notification to impose a Minimum Import Price (MIP) on synthetic knitted fabrics. This regulation extends the MIP requirement for specific fabric categories under various ITC (HS) codes until December 31, 2024. The fabrics affected include those made from synthetic fibers, such as unbleached, dyed, printed, or those containing elastomeric yarns.

Under this notification, the import of these fabrics is prohibited unless the CIF value is 3.5 USD or more per kilogram. This measure is intended to regulate the import of synthetic fabrics and protect domestic industries. Other terms and conditions remain unchanged from the previous Notification No. 77/2023 issued in March 2024.
